Grup band rock Paramore dibentuk tahun 2004 di Franklin, Tennessee, Amerika Serikat. Nama Paramore berasal dari nama gadis ibu bassist pertama band tersebut. Setelah para personil Paramore mengetahui bahwa kata tersebut memiliki persamaan bunyi dengan kata paramour yang artinya kekasih, maka mereka memutuskan untuk mengadopsi nama Paramore menjadi nama panggung band rock tersebut.

Dalam perjalanannya, grup band tersebut telah mengalami pergantian personil. Formasi pertama terdiri dari Hayley Williams (vokalis), Jeremy Davis (bassist), Jason Bynum (rhythm gitar) serta dua bersaudara Josh Farro (lead gitar/backing vokal) dan Zac Farro (drums). Tahun 2005, dua personil awal yakni Jason dan Jeremy hengkang dari grup band tersebut. Untuk posisi rhythm gitar sempat ditangani oleh Hunter Lamb (2005–2007) sebelum akhirnya diambil alih Taylor York. Sementara posisi bassist sempat ditangani John Hembree sebelum akhirnya kembali dipegang oleh Jeremy. Namun, pada Desember 2010, Hayley Williams menulis pesan di paramore.net bahwa Josh Farro dan Zac Farro tidak lagi di Paramore.

Nama Paramore semakin melejit saat mereka mendapat kehormatan untuk tampil di album soundtrack film terkenal "Twilight". Dalam album tersebut, Paramore membawakan dua single yakni "Decode" dan "I Caught Myself". Hingga saat ini, Paramore telah merilis tiga album yakni "All We Know Is Falling", "Riot!" (2007) dan "Brand New Eyes" (2009).
